Now Warid and Telenor customers can enjoy Gmail SMS

Warid and Telenor Pakistan customers can receive free SMS from Gmail. Ufone, Mobilink are already giving this service with Gmail.
Gmail gives about 50 SMS credit for SMS sending to several networks in the world. Whenever your friends reply to your SMS on Gmail, you get 5 extra credit for free. More replies more credit. If you run out of Gmail SMS credit, Gmail will automatically give you some credit after 24 hours.
Note:
  • Gmail SMS doesn’t work for MNP in or out customers
  • Gmail to mobile SMS sending is free but mobile to Gmail SMS sending have charges about 1Rs to 2Rs

How to send SMS from Gmail:
  1. Enter your contact’s name in the ‘Search or invite friends’ box in Chat, and select Send SMS from the box of options that appears to the right of your contact’s name. Or, if you already have a Chat window open for this contact, just click Options, and select Send SMS.
  2. In the dialog box, enter a phone number in the ‘Send SMS messages to this number’ field.
  3. Click Save.
  4. A Chat window appears. Just type your message as you would normally. When you hit Enter, the message will be sent to the phone number you entered.
