Twitter Analytics Now Available for Everyone

Twitter analytics previously available to only Twitter advertisers are now available for everyone.

With Twitter analytics you can view the performance of your Twitter accounts with details such as how many retweets, favourites or mentions you are getting.
These analytics also allow you check the details about followers such as their geographic location.

Analytics data can be downloaded as CSV file to computer.

Go to analytics.twitter.com and use your Twitter login. Then allow access to Twitter Ads app. Click Analytics tab.

Wider screen, Improved Notifications, New Tweets Composer with Updated Twitter for Android and iPhone

Twitter 5.7 for iOS changelog:

• The new Tweet composer for iPhone makes sharing photos easy and lets you preview how your Tweets will look.

Fake Female Profiles to Gain Popularity on Social Networks

Tagged and Badoo websites are known for using and running fake female profiles to gain users, especially Badoo.

If you don't login to Badoo, they keep sending messages like, One female is waiting for you, New females have joined Badoo etc etc.
Doesn't matter how many times you disable this kinda email notifications from you Badoo account settings but they are never stopping. (then I send such sites to my spam folder)

If you login to Badoo site, they will show you fake female profiles, advertising messages in inbox to pay and send gifts to fake female profiles or even "hi" from fake female profiles which then they promise will reply only if you send them paid virtual gifts from Badoo site.

Download ALL of your Tweets

Twitter is rolling out feature to its users which allows to download Tweets. It includes all tweets since the first tweet of your account.

To download your tweets, go to Settings from Twitter web and look for Your Twitter Archive option at the bottom.

This option may not be available for many right now because Twitter is rolling out this new feature gradually to users.

Upon using Twitter Archive option, Twitter will send email which contains Tweets archive download link.
Archive will open Tweets history in the browser (offline too) with ability to easily filter Tweets by month or year.

Twitter Becoming Instagram by Adding Instagram like Photo Editing Features

New Twitter Photos features add instagram like photo editing options to Twitter Android and iPhone applications.

Twitter users will be able to tweak photos while uploading them with different effects, cropping, auto tuning.

Rumors that Twitter is also testing large size high quality photos uploading.

Twitter is surely improving its photo community. In past Twitter launched profile headers, profile wall photos album, photos preview within tweets and now this new fun way of adding photos to tweets is a competition for popular image sharing site instagram. Before I had to switch to instagram for the tuning of my photos to share on Twitter but now I shall be doing that within Twitter.

New Twitter Web Features and Mobile Apps Updates

Twitter is rapidly adding new features. Recently they have announced following mobile and web updates.

Send a Tweet to someone at Email:
You can send tweet to someone from Twitter web.
Expand a tweet, Click More > Email Tweet

Tweet sharing feature to email is rolling out to all users slowly.



Twitter have updated mobile apps for Android and iOS:

See headlines and photos: Now you can preview photos and article summaries without a tap in Discover and search results. This new design for mobile brings the content of each Tweet front and center, so you can easily enjoy the view.

Discover popular Tweets: Find out what’s popular among the people you’re connected to in a simple stream of Tweets, like Discover on twitter.com. Just tap “View all Tweets” to see a continuous stream of news, photos and other stories shared by the people in your network.

Search for a new perspective: In search, photos from relevant results also appear right at the top of the stream so you can see what’s happening from multiple perspectives. You can also understand what's resonating in your network with context like who Favorited a Tweet.

Twitter Removes User Agent Information

in above screenshot, you can see the second person posted tweet via Mobile Web (old screenshot)

Twitter removed user agents information from their mobile clients back in July 2012. Now they have removed it from web too.
Expect it to be removed from Tweetdeck also. Tweetdeck is owned by Twitter.

What I mean by user agent is, you cannot know from which client your friends are posting tweets. Like before you were able to see whether they are using web, mobile web, twitter for android, twitter for iPhone, twicca, Hootsuite, twitterfeed etc.

Get Verification Tick for your Google Plus Business page

Google now allows manual verification for Google+ pages. Let your page members know that page is real with a verification tick. Google will send you mail with a pin code at your business address for verification.

Follow these steps for verification:
Create your page by going to google.com/+/business

After you’ve created your page, you can verify it:

1. Hover over Unverified at the top of your Google+ page. Click the Verify now button when it appears. Or, click Verify now in the Is this your business? section below the map.
2. Confirm your address and click Request postcard. Your postcard should arrive within a week or so.
3. Once it’s arrived, go to the website listed on the postcard, google.com/local/verify
4. Enter the PIN listed on the postcard and click Submit.
5. If you've requested a postcard for multiple Google+ pages, make sure to click on the name of the business that the postcard is for.

Note:

• Any page manager can request page verification.
• Don't forget to fill in the address of your business in your page.

How do I verify my +page?

Follow these three steps:

1. 
   Link your +page to your website: Fill out the ‘About’ section of your Google+ page, being sure to enter your site’s top-level URL.
   Link your website to your +page: Add a Google+ badge or code snippet to your site, which lets us know that the site is associated with your +page. We recommend using the Google+ badge, as it can help you attract additional followers -- for top publishers, adding the Google+ badge helped drive a 38% increase in followers. You can select the size of the +badge for your pages, and with some of the larger sizes, users will be able to add your +page to their circles without leaving your site.
2. Complete verification request form.
3. As you complete the verification process, be sure to continue posting regularly to your +page to engage with your users. To help attract followers to your pages we also recommend promoting your +page on other relevant sites or blogs you own, as well as other social destinations. You can also place an author tag on your online materials, which means your authorized photo and name appear next to search results for content you’ve created.

These Twitter Usage Limitations Many Don't Know

Some Twitter users feel frustrated when they are having issues when tweeting, creating lists, sending DMs. They should know following limits which apply to all Twitter users.

• Twitter have lists limits, every account can create 1000 total lists (private or public)
• Every list can have maximum 5000 number of people
• Every Twitter account can send 250 Direct Messages per day
• Twitter allows 1000 tweets per day. About 40 tweets in an hour. If you exceed per hour limit, wait for your hour to complete to start tweeting again
• You can follow 1000 people per day. There are other following limits too which Twitter team does not disclose to stop spam abuse
• When you have followed 2000 people, twitter applies strict following policies on your account to follow more people. These policies are also hidden but in simple words, you should have more people following you than the people you are following.
• You cannot change your account email more than 4 times per hour
• 25 pictures per day upload limit
• 5000 SMS receiving limit/day
