Update: Google Plus service is being divided into regions like Twitter [Google Plus]

You may notice new region settings at the bottom of Google+ web near language settings.

Google+ haven't announced yet anything for this update and it is still under development.

Giving region settings to Google Plus users, It seems like Google+ team is dividing Google+ contents and users into regions. Just like Twitter have different trending topics etc for different regions.

Maybe we will be able to see hash tags trends and Google+ sparks topics related to our region settings.

Google+ #hashtags are also coming soon.

Update: New notification - Added you back on Google+ [Google Plus]

When you add someone, if they add you back you will see new notification Added you back on Google+ . Makes it easy for you to know that the person adding you is already in your circles.

By this you will know whether the person who is adding you is already in your circle(s).

Update: New ignore option to hide people on Google+ [Google Plus]

Ignoring people

When a person adds you to a circle, you might not be interested in what they have say, but blocking them may seem too harsh. Instead, you can ignore them, which will limit what they can share with you.
You can ignore someone from the following places:
  • The notifications in your Google+ bar
  • Your Incoming stream
  • Under the 'People who have added you' tab while editing your circles
When you ignore a person:
  • They'll be removed from the list of ‘People who have added you.’
  • New content will no longer be delivered to your Incoming stream, and content they've already shared will be removed from Incoming.
  • Their mentions of you won't appear in your stream and you won't receive a notification for them.
To access the list of all of the people you’ve ignored, click the Circles icon at the top of the stream, click More actions, and select View ignored. If you decide to add a person you previously ignored to a circle, that person will be removed from the list.
Keep in mind that ignoring someone is not the same as blocking. An ignored person will still be able to comment on your public posts, tag you in photos, and add you to circles. You'll still receive notifications when an ignored person tags you in a photo. In addition, people you’ve ignored may appear as a suggestion again at a later time.
If you want to further limit interaction with someone, consider blocking them instead.

Google +1 button gets update of inline annotations [Google]

Since the launch of the +1 button, it's been great to see recommendations from my friends and family in search results. Now Google bringing those same recommendations to your site in two ways.

First, you may have already noticed faces and names when you hover over a +1 button.  This change rolled out late last week. Now, you can make these recommendations even more visible to your users. Simply update the +1 button code, and an inline annotation will show next to the button.

By making it easy for your users to see recommendations from people they trust, we hope it makes for a more engaging experience on your site.

If you'd like to start testing the inline annotation right away, join
the Google+ Platform Preview group and generate a new snippet on the
+1 button configuration tool.

Google team will roll this feature out to all users soon, but if  you're
already signed up for the preview group all you need to do is update
your snippet and you'll start seeing the annotation right next to the
button on your page.  For more information, you may visit Google
Code site, or ask your questions in the Webmaster forum.
