ہولووین کا کرسچین تہوار آرہا ہے. لیکن افسوس سے کچھ مسلمان پاکستانی بھی اس تہوار کو مناتے ہیں. بلکے پاکستانی TV چینل پر تو ہولووین پروگرام بھی چلتے ہیں. بہت افسوس کی بات ہے. دنیا کی رنگینیوں میں گم لوگ بس جو مغربی میڈیا پھیلا دیتا ہے اس کے پیچھے چل پڑتے ہیں. بلکے کچھ لوگ جو اپنے آپکو موڈرن کہتے ہیں وہ تو خاص کر اس جیسے اور راکھی وگرا تہوار مناتے ہیں. انکو پتہ بھی ہو تو باز نہیں آتے. ہولووین یا کوئی اور مذہبی تہوار منانا کفر ہے. یہ کہہ کر بھی نہیں منانا چاہیے کہ عیسائی لوگوں کے ساتھ یکجہتی کا اظہار کر رہے ہیں. انکی مذہبی ایک بھی بات ماننا ایسا ہے جیسے آپ انکے غلط مذہبی عقیدے پر ایمان لے آیے.

یہ کہانی میں نے نہیں بنائی نہ کسی اسلامی کتاب میں پڑھی. بلکے ہولووین کی کہانی اور دوسری بہت سی باتیں اہم باتیں میں نے اسرائیل کے پادریوں کو انڈونیشیا کے گرجا گھروں کو سکھاتے سیکھیں. میرے نام کے ساتھ جو کبھی ویلینٹائن لگا دیکھا یہ عیسائیوں والا نام بہت مدد گار ثابت ہوا مجھے ایسی معلومات لینے میں.

92% of Phones have Bacteria on them [Study]

A new study found that 92% of cell phones in the U.K. have bacteria on them - including E. coli -- because people aren't washing their hands after going to the bathroom.
The E. coli came from fecal bacteria, which can survive on hands and surfaces for hours.

Researchers from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and Queen Mary, University of London looked at cell phones in 12 cities in the U.K.
They took 390 samples from cell phones and hands, which were then analyzed for germs. People were also asked about their hand hygiene.

The study found:

• 92% of phones had bacteria on them.
• 82% of hands had bacteria on them.
• 16% of hands and 16% of phones had E. coli bacteria, which is found in feces.

BlackBerry down again

BlackBerry BBM and other BIS services are down again. Research in Motion (TSE:RIM) (NASDAQ:RIMM) is under fire again today, after yesterday's near-day-long outage seems to be repeating today. The problem seems to be located at a Slough data centre, in the UK.

Nokia is building new Linux based mobile operating system codename Meltemi

Nokia is working on a secret project named as Meltemi.

Rumours say that it is Linux based mobile operating system for Nokia Series 40 phones for emerging markets.

Meltemi will be used to power phones with low price. Meltemi will replace Symbian and Nokia will continue working on Windows based phones with Microsoft.

Meltemi is a Greek word for dry summer winds from the north.

Nokia is always taking steps to improve their mobile phones since Symbian failed against Android and iOS.

In short, Meltemi is Nokia’s new plan of defence in the budget market, a S40 replacement.

New setting to limit people for Google+ notifications

Circles give you control over who you share with on Google+ and who you see content from.
Today Google+ is rolling out a new option in Google+ settings: “Who can send you notifications?"


You can update your settings at plus.google.com/settings/plus


People included in 'Who can send you notifications' are allowed to send you notifications for the following events:

• A post is shared specifically with you or the sharer chooses to notify recipients.
• You're mentioned in a post or comment.
• Someone invites you to a game or shares something with you in a game.
• You're invited to a hangout.

You’ll still be notified if someone comments on one of your posts or adds you to a circle.


Note: this option is not only "Notify this circle". Using this option is risky. It can disable all notifications such as name mentions by someone not in your circle.
