If you know, all cellular networks in Pakistan together decided to stop several free basic telephony services. Later they decided to provide these services with charges.
SMS delivery reports service is one of those services which was free but now being provided to customers upon request with charges.

Details:

• Mobilink customer needs to send SMS “SUB” to 2742
• To unsubscribe SMS “UNSUB” to 2742
• Mobilink customer also need to activate SMS delivery reports from their handset SMS/Messaging settings
• The service is available for both prepaid and postpaid customers.
• All rates are exclusive of GST 
• 19.5% FED on usage and 10% withholding tax at recharge or bill applies

What I hate about Android smartphones

• Android will never show you correct SMS time. If you turn on your phone at 8am, and you receive pending SMS messages. It will tell you received/sent time 8am, instead of the correct time when they were sent. So you won't be able to know when your friends send you SMS.
• You cannot charge your phone battery in offline mode. It will force start.
• Android phones come with SMS sending limits. 100 SMS per hour sending limit. If you are sending an Eid Mubarak SMS which is of 5 SMS, Android phone will give you serious headache after sending it to only 20 people.
• Till Android 4.0, Android didn't update their SMS application. All came with very basic SMS messaging features. Even cheap Chinese normal phones (3USD priced) phone have more messaging features than an Android phone.
• You cannot change themes in your Android phones.

Permalink feature is now available on blogspot blogs

Google Blogger team have added Permalink feature to blogspot blogs.

Now when you are writing a new post you are able to choose custom URL for your post to make the post url simple and SEO friendly.

Another small update is, now google translate tool is available inside post editor. Click on the book icon in tools bar when writing a post/page.


Did you know that blogspot had launched other SEO feature also for blogspot blogs. Such as robot.txt, custom error pages, custom post description, custom redirects, crawler and indexing easy settings. All are available under Settings > Search Preferences.

Difference Between Dual Core & Core 2 Duo Processors

Dual Core:
Intel produced a computer processors series with two processor chips is called Dual Core. In simple words it is power of two processors in one. They are cheaper and slower than Core 2 Duo processors.

Core 2 Duo:
Intel advanced their dual core processors technology with improved clock speed and larger cache are called core 2 duo processors. They are a little more expensive and faster than dual core processors.

How to Remove 100 SMS per hour Sending limit in Android phones

Requirements:

• Your phone's USB drivers should be installed
• Android SDK Download it as zip and extract/place in C drive.
• USB Debugging on phone enabled (Settings\Applications\Development\USB debugging)
• You’ll need to have superuser permissions installed on your phone. This can normally be obtained by rooting your device then installing a custom ROM

How To Remove the 100 SMS Per Hour Limit

1. Open the command prompt

2. Copy and paste the following command into command prompt and press Enter key. This will navigate to your Android SDK folder in C drive and output will be C:\Android\platform-tools>

cd C:\Android\platform-tools

3. Once you’ve navigated there, enter the following commands, one per line. Do not enter anything in red, this is for informational purposes, and what will display on your command prompt as output.

C:\Android\platform-tools> adb shell
# sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
SQLite version 3.5.9
Enter “.help” for instructions

Above command will completelty remove the limit.
Zero in  (‘sms_outgoing_check_interval_ms’, 0) means that No limit. You can change the zero to something, for example 500 to make 500 SMS sending limit per hour. Command with 500 should be (‘sms_outgoing_check_interval_ms’, 500)

Reboot your phone after executing above commands to make new SMS limit work for you.

Twitter have updated their facebook application

Twitter team have updated their facebook application. Now it will show our tweets as a short story posted on facebook. Previously it was tweet status only but now photos, users profiles, hashtags and links will be posted as short story to facebook wall or page wall (as configured by users).

Your Tweets will look like below on facebook after new changes:

Google Maps will work without Internet on phones

Google will launch new mobile maps application which will allow users to take Google maps offline with them. Maps of more than 100 countries will be available on phone for offline use. So if you are going somewhere without having Internet, Google maps offline feature will be great help for you. New Google maps application will be available for Android users within few weeks.

Google have announced that they will improve stability, usability of Google maps. Street view and 3D views will also have new additions and improvements. More photos and inside views will be added to Google Maps.

When we shipped #NewTwitter in September 2010, we built it around a web application architecture that pushed all of the UI rendering and logic to JavaScript running on our users’ browsers and consumed the Twitter REST API directly, in a similar way to our mobile clients. That architecture broke new ground by offering a number of advantages over a more traditional approach, but it lacked support for various optimizations available only on the server.
To improve the twitter.com experience for everyone, we've been working to take back control of our front-end performance by moving the rendering to the server. This has allowed us to drop our initial page load times to 1/5th of what they were previously and reduce differences in performance across browsers.
On top of the rendered pages, we asynchronously bootstrap a new modular JavaScript application to provide the fully-featured interactive experience our users expect. This new framework will help us rapidly develop new Twitter features, take advantage of new browser technology, and ultimately provide the best experience to as many people as possible.
